Many thanks to the employees of The Home Depot and CitiFinancial, and volunteers from the community, who came to help us kick off the transformation of the park. In one day, they created a wetland, installed a small parking lot, planted more than 400 small trees and 1,000 prairie and wetland plants, picked up trash, removed invasive species, built bluebird/bat/owl/wren houses, built and planted flower boxes, built a fence, observation deck, and board walk, and more.
