The Efroymson Fund, a family fund managed by the Central Indiana Community Foundation, has awarded a $19,000 grant to the Daubenspeck Community Nature Park. This grant goes a long way towards the $40,000 goal and budget set out for projects in 2007. Additional funds are sought from individual supporters, area businesses, and grantors.

Projects for 2007 include professional signage for the entrance and educational information, trail marking, educational trail guides online and printed, expansion of the wetlands, planting wildflowers & shrubs, removing invasive plants, and more. 100% of funds go to development of the park, because the non-profit is completely volunteer-run, with no offices or paid staff.
