DCNP Awards Deb Ellman Scholarship

Each year, the Daubenspeck Community Nature Park Board of Directors selects a North Central High School senior to receive the Deb Ellman Scholarship. Deb Ellman was a founding DCNP board member and was instrumental in transforming the park into the urban oasis it is today. The scholarship in Deb’s memory is given to a student who has a love for nature and is interested in pursuing the study of natural or environmental science in college. DCNP board members Catherine Cunningham and John Schingel were proud and honored to present this year’s award at the North Central High School awards banquet. Congratulations to our scholarship recipient, Martin Drews! Martin, an Eagle Scout, will be attending Indiana University Bloomington to study Environmental Management.
